What’s the difference between “Man with a Van” and “Removals”?

Man with a Van is a flexible, hourly-based service starting from £40/hr, perfect for small flats, student moves, or IKEA pickups. Our Removals service is a comprehensive solution for full-house moves, involving larger teams and high-capacity Luton vans.

Is insurance included with Hello Vans services?

Yes. Every move includes standard Goods in Transit insurance and Public Liability cover (up to £10 million). This ensures your belongings are protected from the moment we load them until they reach your new home.

Do you provide packing services and materials?

Absolutely. We offer full or partial packing services using premium materials like bubble wrap, wardrobe boxes, and heavy-duty tape. You can book professional packers independently or as part of your moving package.

Can I book Hello Vans for a same-day move?

What size vans do you offer?

Our diverse fleet ranges from Small Transit vans (ideal for single items) to 3.5-tonne Luton vans with tail lifts for large family homes. For very large moves, we can provide multiple vehicles or 7.5-tonne trucks.

Do you operate nationwide and on weekends?

What if I need help with furniture assembly?

Our “Vanners” are experts in flat-pack assembly (IKEA, Wayfair, etc.) and can dismantle large wardrobes or beds at your old location and reassemble them at the new one. Just include this in your booking details.

Can I travel in the van with the driver?

In most cases, yes! Many of our vans have one spare passenger seat available. Please let us know in advance if you intend to travel with your items so we can ensure space is available.

Do you handle office and commercial relocations?

Yes, we specialize in seamless office moves, including the transport of sensitive IT equipment, office furniture, and archives. We work outside regular business hours to ensure minimal disruption to your operations.

What items are you unable to transport?

For safety and legal reasons, we cannot transport hazardous materials (flammable liquids, chemicals, gas canisters), perishables, or live animals. Please contact us if you are unsure about a specific item.

How do I pay for my booking and get an invoice?

You can pay securely online via our app or website using all major cards. Invoices are generated automatically and sent to your email immediately after the job is completed. We also accept bank transfers for larger corporate moves.

What happens if my move is delayed or I need to reschedule?

We offer a flexible rescheduling policy. If you provide at least 24–48 hours’ notice, you can change your date without a fee. For late cancellations (less than 24 hours), a cancellation charge may apply as per our terms.

Do you offer cleaning or waste clearance services?

Yes! Through our partner brands, we offer “End of Tenancy” cleaning and professional waste clearance. We can clear rubbish, old furniture, or garden waste and ensure it is disposed of at authorized recycling centers.
