I usually use AnyVan and have always had a great experience with their service, but I decided to try a different company this time. Unfortunately, this turned out to be a terrible experience from beginning to end.

The drivers initially struggled to locate the parking space, which I appreciate can happen, and we provided a reference to help them. However, the situation quickly escalated when the main driver got into a heated argument with the front desk team and began shouting and speaking aggressively to me over the phone.

There was significant confusion on both ends, and instead of handling the situation professionally, the driver repeatedly ended our calls, saying, “I no collect anymore.” The entire process took longer than expected and demonstrated a complete lack of professionalism and communication.

Things deteriorated further at the drop-off location, where the drivers refused to bring my belongings upstairs unless I paid the congestion charge, which I understood to be covered in the original quotation. This was an extremely frustrating and disappointing situation to deal with on the day of the move.

Overall, this experience caused considerable disruption to my working day and placed unnecessary stress on the colleagues who were kindly helping me with the move.

Moving is already stressful enough without having to deal with this level of poor communication, unprofessional behaviour, and unexpected payment demands. I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere.

Horrific service and careless movers
The entire experience was an absolute nightmare from start to finish. The movers were rude, unprofessional, and utterly careless with my belongings; multiple items, including mirrors, lamps, and my TV, were damaged. They were late without notifying me, took unnecessary breaks (even ordering food), and left critical items behind during the move, requiring me to go back and retrieve them in their van, despite my disability. The team was unprepared, lacking necessary materials and even proper insurance for 2/3 men, which they admitted caused their hostility. Customer service has not responded to my requests for a refund or compensation after a week. Overall, this was a severely stressful and unacceptable service.

PLEASE DO NOT BOOK WITH HELLO VANS. I HAD THE EXPERIENCE FROM HELL. Disgusting customer service, repetitive rude comments and arguments started by moves, unrealistic demands, furniture chipped and damaged, mirrors and lamps smashed and cracked, TV damaged and my desk door came off. My friend and I did more of the heavy lifting then that did, which was the whole reason I booked a man with a van service. They were 30mins late and didn't contact me till after the time they were meant to arrive, they stopped twice whilst moving my items out of my old flat, 30mins in they order uber eats and got burgers and I caught them standing around by the van with them will I told them to come upstairs and help and about 45mins later the guy walked to the shop to get snacks and drinks whilst we were doing the moving. Whilst moving my stuff into my new flat, I received a call from my old c Consierge to tell me that they had left my mattress and glass coffee table in the middle of the communal hallway and did not load it into the van. Luckily they were still there and I had to get into the van with them and drive back to my old place to get the items, which they were annoyed about and did not want to. I even had to load the mattress in the van with the guy while one guy watched. To note, I have a muscularskeletal disability and I was covered in bruises from all the work I had to undertake, carrying heavier items then 3 grown men as a 5ft 2 woman. They were talking about us run punjabi the whole time, luckily my friend speaks punjabi and pulled them up on this multiple times. They admitted at the end why they got so irate and argumentative is because only 1 out of 3 men that arrived had the appropriate insurance which is very alarming. I didn't even book 3 men, so not sure why 3 men arrived, obviously I thought they were all insured otherwise would not have proceeded. I have subsequently contacted customer service about all of this to receive a refund and after 7 days, I still haven't had a reply or acknowledgement from them, even though they state their inbox is monitored consistently and replies usually take 2 hours. Ive sent a follow up email to proceed with arrangements for refund and compensation and will be taking them to the small claims court if they do not reply and act swiftly. Top 3 worst services I have ever received, including customer service. The legality of this alone is enough to avoid them I suspect they haven't replied to me as now they are not covered and are in legal trouble due to insurance. Also, they confirmation booking email, says not to pack TVs and electrical items as they need to do that so it is covered professionally and under their insurance and they would bring material for this, upon arrival they had no idea about any of this or what their duties were or what was conveyed to us and had no materials or anything to pack them, they either need to inform their movers or state correct facts upon booking. Now my TV is damaged. Last thins ill say is that they would not have spoken to a man the way they spoke to us. HORRIFIC EXPERIENCE

I wouldnt reccomend this company. I payed for 2 luton vans and only 1 came. Also my husband said to one of the movers multiple times a large expensive lego piece was fragile and to please wrap it. They refused to do this and it caused the piece to break. This was a £600 lego piece. Then they threw the pieces in the bin. Not just that they also broke my lizards basking stone which is expensive. They cost around £20 to replace.  Also it stated things would be put in the requested room for us and help with assembly and disembly and our possesions just got thrown in random rooms and no help with reassembly at all. This has meant me and my husband who has shoulder back and knee problems has had to do this himself.
Not to forget £60 worth of freezer food i had to throw away as i asked them to please put it in the kitchen and they threw it in my daughters room under a mattress.
I am honestly disgusted at the service, my husband payed £800 for this and it definitly wasnt worth it! and wont be using hello vans again
I have emailed multiple times but have recieved no response!

Poor Service
We were very let down by this company. Booked a large van to move our stuff from Sheffield. The small van arrived 3 hours late from Manchester. We had damaged furniture, & had to move most of the smaller bits ourselves, as the drivers time was up. Very disappointed. They had no covers, no wheels, ropes or anything. Just a dirty old van. And all our things squashed in.

Dodgy Scammers
I used your services to move. The experience was terrible. The move was booked for 10am. I got a call saying it was delayed until 2pm. I was promised it wouldn't be later than this. At 3pm I got a call from the driver saying he was lost and I had to walk 15 minutes to a pub to show him the way. He didn't help move anything, just rearranged the stuff in the van. I had to do everything. 

Then he demanded an extra £40 because he had come such a long way. Are you serious? You turn up 5 hours late, then expect ME to pay for it?

I said I would give him £20 but he was rude and aggressive and I ended up giving him £30.

When we got there again he did nothing while I took all the stuff into the house.

Then he phoned me at 9.30pm that night chasing payment for the full £129 amount. I already paid this.

This whole experience has been awful.

I sent you an email about this and asked for £10 refund. I shouldn't have had to pay any extra money at all and all I asked for back was £10. You ignored me. I emailed you again and you ignored me again. 

Looking at the reviews I can see that you have a company policy of totally ignoring any complaints and blocking people who want to speak to someone about a negative experience. 

You are clearly vermin and I have had enough of my time wasted with you. Either email me back in the next few days telling me you have refunded the £10 I asked for or I will look at taking you to court for the full amount plus expenses or possibly speaking to my bank about recovering the money through them.

Do not reply to this and give your usual fake 'We are so sorry about this - it's not our usual level of service, please contact us so we can make it right' rubbish. This is absolutely your normal level of service as many reviews all over the web testify to.

Refund my money in the next few days or I will take one of the steps above.
